Educational Event: Working effectively with adolescents with substance use issues warrants an understanding of brain development, stages of development, and impacting risks and protective factors of family, biology, peer, and community. Along with reviewing these aspects of adolescent growth, this interactive training will also review current adolescent trends and impact of alcohol, marijuana, opioid, and synthetic use, and consequent adolescent behavior patterns. Content will also present recommended practices considered effective in addressing problematic adolescent behavior.
