The Role of Medication-Assisted Therapy in the
World of Healthcare Reform

Short and Long Term Solutions for Implementation and Disminishment of Stigma

The PFR/ATTC Network ALI Team project focused on two areas:
1. Reduction of the stigma attached to the medications used to treat and maintain persons in recovery from substance use disorders
2. Acceptance and incorporation of these medications and psychotropic medications used in the treatment of co-occurring disorders

The project presentation provides recommendations for overcoming stigma, as well as develops resources for the successful integration of medications in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
