Reduction of Health Disparities in
Rural and Frontier Settings

This PFR/ATTC Network ALI team closely examined the issues surrounding health disparities and how it relates to the barriers to treatment in rural and frontier areas of our country. The team also proposes several solutions, such as placing more primary care physcians in communities with designated health professional shortages; improving outreach measures for adoption of certified electronic health records (EHRs); and investigate alternative methods to provide education and community services.
