ASAM Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder Course - 2-part Waiver Training

What: This training is for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in Nebraska. The ASAM Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder Course provides the highest quality, evidence- based practices when using medications to treat opioid use disorders. The case-based learning format will show participants how to apply this new knowledge. You will learn:
  • How to apply for a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine to patients with opioid use disorders
  • Identify and assess patients who are appropriate for treatment with medications
  • Specific knowledge concerning the use of medications to manage treatment of patients with opioid use disorders
  • Discuss the psychiatric and medical co-morbidities associated with opioid addiction

This 2-part training involves 4-hour self-paced online learning followed by a 4-hour live training on August 19, 2017 in Omaha, NE.
