A little history-
The Mid-Atlantic ATTC, one of 15 ATTCs funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, recently celebrated its 15 th Anniversary.The Mid-Atlantic’s first Motivational Interviewing (MI) implementation project began with the Virginia State Office of Substance Abuse Services in October, 1996 as part of the Substance Abuse Treatment Outcome & Evaluation (SATOE) model.We reported on this technology transfer case study at CPDD in 1998 (NIDA Research Monograph , 179, p. 280, 1998).
