Prevention and Early Intervention of Mental Health Disorders

Description:   This is a 3 credit hour graduate level course on mental health disorders from a public health perspective. This course provides students with information on prevalence of mental health disorders as well as characteristics of those disorders of relevance to public health practice. Primary and secondary prevention programs at the community level are considered in depth, as are methods to assess the need for such programs in diverse communities.
