Comments: Implemented and coordinated SBIRT at Grant Medical Center (GMC) Level I Trauma Program since 2008. She conducted a SBIRT pilot project at GMC in 2012. Consulted on how to implement SBIRT in other medical and community settings, Advocated at the state level to include SBIRT as a vital intervention to be included in the efforts to address the prescription drug epidemic and devel-opment of the ER Opioid Prescribing Guidelines. Trainer has collaborated with county treatment providers on how to bridge the gap between alcohol/drug treatment and medical providers to ensure effective linkage for those patients identified as needing referrals and further treatment.
