Explore the importance of general good health and substance use disorder as a public health concern
Address the impact of the national opioid crisis with particular focus on DOL Region 2/HHS Region 3
Provide information about national, state and local resources available to DOL grantees and the general public about substance use disorders and treatment resources
This webinar is targeted to Department of Labor Region 2 (DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, WV) Employment and Training Administration Workforce Development Programs, specifically program staff working directly with participants (e.g., case managers, instructors, recruiters, administrators).
Renata J. Henry, MEd is the Executive Director of The Danya Institute in Silver Spring, MD. The Institute manages the Central East’s Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC), Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) and Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC), which provide training and technical assistance to the behavioral, mental health and prevention workforce in HHS Region III. Ms. Henry has more than 35 years of experience in the behavioral health field, serving in clinical and administrative positions in community-based mental health and substance abuse organizations and leadership positions in state and county government. Ms. Henry has provided leadership at a state and national level in various capacities.
