Contingency Management for Stimulants

The Great Lakes A/MH/PTTC is offering this training for individuals working in HHS Region 5: IL, IN, MI, MN, OH, WI. This training is being provided in response to a need identified by Region 5 stakeholders.

 

 

DESCRIPTION:

This training will assist participants in understanding the fundamentals of contingency management (CM) and developing a plan for CM implementation in their practice setting. Special attention will be paid to the usage of CM as a primary treatment for stimulant use disorders.

 

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Learn the behavioral fundamentals foundational to CM
  • Learn the skills and tools needed to conduct CM
  • Plan for the implementation of a CM program in your practice setting
  • Plan implementation of CM that responds to the needs of clients with stimulant use disorder

 

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Registrants who fully attend this training will receive 6 NAADAC continuing education (CE) hours. CE certificates will be sent via email within two weeks after training. 

 

 

TRAINER:

Mat Roosa

Mat Roosa was a founding member of NIATx and has been a NIATx coach for a wide range of projects. He works as a consultant in the areas of quality improvement, organizational development, and planning, evidence-based practice implementation, including coaching and training Contingency Management implementation. His experience includes direct clinical practice in mental health and substance use services, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and human service agency administration.
