Congratulations to Mark Sanders, LSCW, CADC, on receipt of the NAADAC 2021 Enlightenment Award!

The Enlightenment Award (formerly the Lifetime Honorary Membership Award) recognizes an individual who has established outstanding service through a lifetime of consistent contributions to the advancement of NAADAC, the addiction profession, and its professionals.

Mark joined the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC in 2020, providing expert training for all three programs and serving as the state program manager for Illinois.

“Mark’s contributions to the field have had an impact on countless lives over the course of his career,” says Todd Molfenter, Ph.D., director of the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC. “His commitment to making treatment and recovery a reality for all inspires us daily. We are incredibly proud to have Mark as a member of our team and join the field in congratulating him on this well-deserved award.”

Mark was recognized by NAADAC leadership in his home state of Illinois earlier this month. You can view the video of his award acceptance speech at www.naadac.org/2021-naadac-award-winners. Mark and other professionals recognized with awards will also be celebrated in the Fall Issue of NAADAC’s magazine, Advances in Addiction and Recovery.
