SBIRT

Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for Substance Use

Screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) for substance use is an evidence-based approach to screening and intervening for risky substance use. Mid-America ATTC has a number of training and provider resources to assist with the implementation of SBIRT. See below for more information.

Provider Card

The SBIRT Provider Card was developed for SBIRT training provided in the Mid-America ATTC region as a tool to enhance and support SBIRT implementation. The front side is patient facing and contains the low-risk drinking limits, standard drink sizes, and risk level pyramid. The back side provides scripting for the provider to use during the brief intervention. Click here to download the Provider Card.
