New Resource – Information Memorandum from SAMHSA and ACF calls for collaboration on domestic violence, substance use and mental health

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Administration on Children and Families (ACF) have issued an Information Memorandum calling for increased collaboration between agencies that work within substance use, mental health, and domestic violence systems. The Information Memorandum provides crucial research findings that focus on the prevalence and impact of domestic violence has upon individuals who receive services for mental health and treatment for substance use disorders. Additionally, the Information Memorandum provides an extensive list of resources, training opportunities, and strategies to enhance their services for domestic violence survivors and their families.
