In Rural Areas Without Pain or Addiction Specialists, Family Doctors Fill in the Gaps

Dec 30, 2019 -- Video features a family physician in rural Wisconsin who recognized the lack of resources for chronic pain patients who receive opioid prescriptions. She began educating patients on the risks of opioid use, implemented medication treatment agreements, and helped many wean off of their prescriptions in order to curb opioid use.
