In partnership with CODAC Behavioral Healthcare, the New England ATTC is providing targeted TA in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use on January 11, 2023 with subject matter expert Taylor D'Addario. The goal of this training is to provide educational and practice experiences that will prepare community mental health providers to provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions. Participants will review basic concepts of CBT; understand key interventions for CBT (group and individual); recognize the importance of respectful and empowering client engagement in the treatment process; integrate CBT interventions in safe and therapeutic ways throughout the CBT work (treatment plan); and discuss clinical application of CBT as it relates to patient populations as seen in Behavioral Health. Participants will also be given the opportunity to meet with the trainer in two subsequent sessions on 1/18 and 1/25 from 1:30-2:00 to further review content from the training, ask questions, and to discuss barriers to using the skills learned in the training.  [This is a private event by invitation only]
