De-Escalation and Client Support Skills at the Maine WIC Annual Breastfeeding and Nutrition Education Conference (New England Region)

The New England ATTC in partnership with the Maine WIC Nutrition Program is sponsoring a segment of the Maine WIC Annual Breastfeeding and Nutrition Education Conference on 10/1/21 with subject matter expert Michele Paliotta. This presentation will provide practical de-escalation techniques for direct service professionals. Information will be provided about the contributing factors of client presentation, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and concrete intervention techniques will be identified, including trauma informed care, and discussions on daily self-care techniques to help avoid staff burnout.
