The New England Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC), and the New England Association of Recovery Court Professionals (NEARCP), recently hosted a new webinar for criminal justice professionals. This program focused on the gender-based predictors of and patterns and pathways into substance misuse and the criminal justice system and addressed the specific treatment, trauma, relationship, familial responsibility, physical and mental health, and economic circumstances of women that must be appropriately addressed during drug court participation. The program concluded with the processes, personnel, and programs necessary to build a successful gender-specific specialized docket.
