Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) - 3 part webinar - closed event

CRAFT is an evidence based practice that teaches family and friends effective strategies for helping their loved one to change and for feeling better themselves. Providers use CRAFT to help families address wellness challenges including self-care, pleasurable activities, problem solving, and goal setting when dealing or living with a family member who has a substance use disorder. CRAFT also addresses their loved one’s resistance to change. With CRAFT techniques, providers learn how to teach families behavioral and motivational strategies for interacting with their loved one.

This interactive virtual training will help providers to learn and consequently instruct families on a variety of skills. For example, the power of positive reinforcement for positive behavior (and of withdrawing it for unwanted behavior), and how to use positive communication skills to improve interactions and maximize their influence, and more.
