The EMDR for Healing and Growth workshop is an introduction to EMDR for clinical providers who treat individuals with substance abuse disorders and mental health conditions. Clinicians will learn about the distress associated with traumatic memories that may lead to individuals misusing or abusing substances and how EMDR can be used to alleviate the level of distress experienced by clients. During this workshop, clinicians will learn about the Adaptive Information Process Model and explore the eight phases and three prongs of EMDR standard protocol.
