Expert Trainer, Expert Facilitator
I have more than 20 years experience training all cadres of health care providers. I make trainings fun and relevant. I like to bring our individual shared experiences into the training for better learning. I'm not your PowerPoint gal that stands in front of a podium but prefer to engage the audience in active learning.
Ms. Caroline Teter is a physician assistant and trainer with more than 20 years of international and US-based public health experience. She co-founded a harm reduction outreach with syringe exchange program and built linkages and referral systems with a wide array of health and social service providers. Internationally she led international policy efforts to reduce HIV-related stigma through the engagement of civil society in policy dialogue, developed a large-scale cascading training program for HIV care, and paired donated vaccines, medicines and medical devices with comprehensive programs to make sustainable improvements in health systems. Currently a physician assistant at Northwestern Medicine Transitional Care, Ms. Teter is helping to improve access and achieve better patient outcomes for people with complex medical and psychosocial issues through capacity building, policy advocacy, and direct patient care and leads Operation Warm Blanket, a supportive medical and psychosocial program at NM for persons experiencing homelessness.
