Marjean Nielsen currently serves as the Director of Education at the University of Utah, School of Dentistry and the Co-Director of the Mountain Plains Technology Transfer Center a partnership between the School of Dentistry and Department of Educational Psychology. Previously she accelerated behavioral health research to practice as the program manager for the Central Rockies Addiction Technology Transfer Center. Ms. Nielsen also assisted individuals with sever and persistent mental illness to obtain employment, housing and rebuild social networks through a Clubhouse model program. Additionally, she coordinated a multi-agency partnership, the Salt Lake City COPS Methamphetamine Initiative which received national recognition as an effective response to the methamphetamine epidemic. Ms. Nielsen, appointed as the Deputy Director of the Utah Pharmaceutical Drug Crime Project, launched a statewide training initiative and public awareness campaign. She also served as the Salt Lake City Police Department grants manager providing strategic planning, design, development and project management. Mrs. Nielsen received her Master of Public Policy at the University of Utah.

Past Associate Director of the Central Rockies Addition Technology Transfer Center, University of Utah. Has over 25 years experience in substance abuse and mental health treatment, prevention and policy.
