Brian Belovitch is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. Currently he is enrolled in a Master Degree program for Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College in NYC. Brian was one of a small group of clinicians who first introduced SBIRT in NYC Health Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene as a pilot program in 2007. Under the supervision of Dr. Barbara Warren, PHD and trainings with Dr. Edward Bernstein one of people responsible for SBIRT programs his pilot program was successfully launched in NYC Health Clinics. The outcome was published in The American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 42 (1), 32-38.
Presently Brian works at Seafield Services Outpatient Program in Mineola, NY.
