Dr. Penny Koontz is a licensed clinical psychologist, with over 30 years of experience providing services to individuals with behavioral health concerns. Her primary area of interest and expertise is in the treatment of substance use disorders, and she holds the Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) certification from the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCCAP). Dr. Koontz has been a clinical supervisor throughout her career and now trains and supervises psychology doctoral students in the provision of substance use disorder treatment. She is the director of the Marshall University Psychology Clinic and is a Psychology Consultant for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections.
