Although pain management is effective for older adults, adverse effects of medications along with age-related challenges can prompt misuse. Education and safety coaching can help older adults make sound lifestyle choices when using medications for chronic health conditions. 

This interactive workshop will review current prevalence of medication misuse among older adults. Content will also include a discussion about pain management challenges and appropriate use of medications using a realistic case scenario.
