Welcome to the 15th Annual Road to Recovery Conference
The Johns Hopkins University along with the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center have partnered once again to bring you this year’s Road to Recovery conference. Our theme for this year is “New Horizons on Alcohol Use and Its Treatment”, and we are putting together a stellar set of speakers for the conference.
September is Recovery Month, a national observance sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT). Each September we celebrate the success of those who have reclaimed their lives in long-term recovery. We respect the different avenues that people use to make recovery a possibility and appreciate that this road can be filled with challenges – but that progress forward for our patients, clients, caregivers and supports occurs and is always possible.
In recognizing Recovery Month, we also use this time to honor the treatment and service providers who supports recovery. We are grateful for their commitment to excellence and for their dedication to treating all patients with dignity, and for their own continued growth and education as they help those on this road.
