Three days of important learning and discussion took place on December 4-6 in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the National AI/AN ATTC training team, Lena Gachupin, Sean Bear 1st, Ray Daw, and Steven Steine. Thirteen attendees gathered from several different tribes within the Southwest Region, to partake in a comprehensive three-day Alcohol and Drug Certification Exam Preparation Course. The attendees and trainers spent time reviewing key areas of the Addictions Domains and Clinical aspects that state certification boards will be testing on during the state certification exam. Daily review and practice testing were administered with the attendees to help better prepare them for their upcoming testing dates.
We learned, collaborated, shared stories, and laughed together. This, in turn, help to create a supportive and meaningful learning environment for all the participants and instructors. Thank you to all who attended and for AASTEC staff for hosting this National ATTC training event.
