Celebrating National Recovery Month 2022!

Recovery Month is celebrated every September to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders, celebrate the people who recover and are in recovery, and promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices. The theme for National Recovery Month 2022 is "Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community."

 

At this year's National Recovery Month Kickoff Event with a focus on Equity, hosted by the Faces and Voices of Recovery on September 1, 2022 from 3 - 5 PM ET.

 

The New England ATTC is proud to support the following organization's Recovery Rally events throughout New England this year:

Connecticut: Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) - The New England ATTC is proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the CCAR Annual Recovery Walk that will take place Saturday, September 24th from 11AM - 4PM ET at Bushnell Park in Hartford Connecticut. CCAR's Recovery walk is a free, family-friendly event intended to put a face to recovery! New England ATTC Senior Trainer and Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Haner Hernandez, will be representing our Center!

 

Maine: Western Maine Addiction Recovery Initiative (WMARI) -  The New England ATTC is a proud sponsor of the WMARI 6th Annual Western Maine Recovery Rally, taking place on September 18, 2022 in an effort to raise awareness and reduce stigma around substance use disorder and recovery. This event will be from 11:30AM - 3:30PM ET in Moore Park, Paris, Maine. 

Portland Recovery Community Center - The New England ATTC is pleased to be a Gold Sponsor for the Portland Recovery Community Center annual Rally 4 Recovery on September 10, 12-4pm at 102 Bishop Street. The Rally 4 Recovery celebrates the remarkable impact of recovery on the community-at-large. This family-friendly event and resource fair offers music, speakers, yard games, children’s activities, the annual recovery countdown, and lots of food from multiple food trucks. New England ATTC Senior Trainer and Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Haner Hernandez, will be representing our Center at this event!

 

Rhode Island: Rally4RecoveryRI - Rally4Recovery RI will be hosting an event in Providence on September 17th. The New England ATTC is thrilled to be a Grace Level Sponsor for the Rally4Recovery event taking place at the Roger Williams Park & Zoo Temple of Music on September 17th from 12AM - 4PM ET. The free, family-friendly festival has free food, live music, activities for children and adults, crafts, face painting, a reptile show and more. The event ends each year with a brief, but powerful ceremony, commemorating those we have lost, and celebrating the reality that Recovery changes lives, it is possible, and it is happening! New England ATTC Senior Trainer and Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Haner Hernandez, will be representing our Center at this event!

 

New Hampshire: HOPE Recovery - The New England ATTC is delighted to be a Platinum Sponsor for the Rally4Recovery New Hampshire taking place Saturday, September 24th from 11AM - 2PM ET in Veterans Memorial Park in NH. Join people in recovery, family members, friends, and advocates of recovery to celebrate the commitment we all share in the recovery movement. New England ATTC Senior Trainer and Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Haner Hernandez, will be representing our Center and giving a keynote talk at this event!

 

Massachusetts: Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery (MOAR) - The New England ATTC is proud to be a MOAR Super Highways to Recovery Sponsor for their 32nd Annual MOAR and Friends Recovery Month Celebration Day taking place Thursday, September 29th.
