The National CLAS Standards are intended to advance health equity, improve quality, and help eliminate health care disparities. Brady Freitas, MSW, LCSW-C, ACHP-SW, is a clinical social worker specializing in palliative care at the University of Maryland’s Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has extensive training in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care and Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy. He provides LGBT cultural competency training for the cancer center staff and seeks to raise awareness for the importance of cancer screening amongst the Transgender population.
