CLAS Matters! Helping People Achieve their Full Health Potential - DAY TWO (CLAS - Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services Standards)

The current COVID-19 pandemic has presented enormous challenges to behavioral health disciplines working with multicultural communities. There has not been a more urgent time to provide effective substance use and trauma counseling and supports to people who traditionally have experienced poor health outcomes.

The National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards provide a road map of actionable guidelines that help behavioral health programs review potential obstacles to culturally responsive care such as agency-level (services and behavioral health systems) and systems-level (client and provider), issues of culture, language based challenges in work force and service delivery, and program outcome evaluation.

This interactive two-part webinar (90 minutes each) will provide an overview of the CLAS Standards and a focus on how providers might implement culturally and linguistically appropriate strategies to heighten engagement opportunities and effect recovery support to diverse communities.

You must register for each day separately. To receive a Certificate of Completion for three CASAC hours, participants are required to attend both sessions in their entirety.
