The New England ATTC in partnership with the Health Education & Training Institute is providing targeted technical assistance in “Foundational Motivational Interviewing” on 10/4/23 and 10/5/23 with subject matter expert Stephen Andrew. Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, evidence-based directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. This two-day training will discuss an effective approach in the treatment of substance use and dual diagnosis, and provide participants with an opportunity to explore creative ways of integrating these approaches into an effective therapeutic intervention, when to use, when not to use motivational interviewing.
