The New England ATTC, in partnership with Connecticut Department of Corrections is providing targeted technical assistance in "Motivational Interviewing in Groups" on 8/12/24 and 8/13/24 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm with subject matter expert Robert Jope. Motivational interviewing (MI) is a method of guided communication that allows a practitioner to engage with a person’s strengths and help them to articulate and act upon their own reasons for making a positive change. This twelve-hour event presumes participants’ prior familiarity with the spirit, skills, and strategies of MI, and assists them to adapt those elements for use in working with groups.
