The goal of this virtual training is to assist American Indian & Alaska Native substance abuse counselors apply components of Comprehensive Treatment Planning and Documentation Guidelines to their clinical practice. Additionally, the training will address Indigenous cultural considerations when utilizing treatment planning development protocols and when creating case note documentation for direct services. The training will also involve practicing treatment planning procedures and completion of documentation for services provided in a SUD treatment clinical setting. Objectives: • Review of Comprehensive Treatment Planning Processes • Review of Documentation Guidelines and Best-Practices • Identify and Discuss Cultural Considerations • Practice treatment plan development and case note documentation procedures
