This interactive 90-minute presentation will review the integration of cultural elements and inclusivity as critical to creating a safe and affirming environment which is conducive to engagement and facilitation of a substance use screen. The content will also inform how taking a few minutes to conduct a person centered brief intervention with persons from Latinx communities can help motivate reduction of substance use.
