Recovery Month is celebrated every September to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders, celebrate the people who recover and are in recovery, and promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices. The theme for National Recovery Month 2021 is "Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community."
At this year's National Recovery Month Kickoff Event with a focus on Equity, hosted by the Faces and Voices of Recovery and sponsored by SAMHSA on September 9, 2021 from 3 - 5 PM ET, the New England ATTC's Subject Matter Expert, Haner Hernandez, PhD will be delivering a Keynote Address!
