Morehouse School of Medicine's Southeast Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network (SATTC) and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Office of Addictive Diseases are partnering with the Clinton Foundation’s Health Matters Initiative (CHMI) to address the worsening opioid epidemic by engaging Metro Atlanta Area faith leaders in an on-going series of roundtable conversations. Our intent is to equip local clergy with the knowledge and resources to build communities of support for individuals and families who have been impacted by this epidemic.

This series is designed to give a cohort of faith leaders and their communities in Metro Atlanta an opportunity to share how their congregations have been impacted by this epidemic ultimately building and strengthening their foundation for a local collaborative response. It is our intention that this series of conversations and trainings will result in an actionable path forward to reducing overdoses and deaths in Metro Atlanta. 

Every participating house of faith will receive a $5,000.00 honorarium award for participation, planning and implementing a community project to promote prevention, treatment and recovery from substance use disorders, specifically related to the opioid epidemic.
