2023 Recovery Month Activities

Serenity Recovery Connection - Colorado

  1. 6th Annual ‘Come Walk with Me’ breakfast fundraiser and presentation. This SRC fundraiser also provides breakfast and a presentation to raise community awareness and educate the public on substance use disorder. The event is to be held on August 30th, 2023 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Colorado Springs @ 7:30 am. I have also attached the invitation.
  2. Recovery Rally- September 23, 2023 from 6:30AM to 3PM

USARA - Utah

Salt Lake City's Recovery Day event will be held on September 9th from 2 PM to 8 PM at Jordan Park. The day includes sponsor and vendor exhibits, speakers, live music, food trucks, and an area with fun activities for kids! This nationally awarded event is free and open to the public.

  • Gathering of the recovery community, open to all, with motivational speakers from the community speaking about their recovery journeys.
  • A one mile walk at dusk using glow sticks to light the way
  • Following the walk there is a free barbeque for the community to continue to celebrate, connect and inspire
  • Run For Jimmy 5K / 1 Mile Walk

The Toolkit is a One-Stop Shop

  • Social media content to help spread awareness about the process of recovery and to share hopeful message that most people who get help do recover.
  • Resources for learning about and supporting those in recovery.
  • Promotional materials about recovery in September and beyond.
