Amy Daniels, MSW, LICSW, CPS, CHRS has over 30 years of professional experience developing, implementing, and providing training and technical assistance on effective programs, practices, and policies. As a Principal with JSI Research and Training, Ms. Daniels directs the work of the Center for Excellence on Addiction, a portfolio of projects throughout the continuum of care. Amy is a well-respected consultant to prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery initiatives. She has supported evidence-based implementation of Screening, Brief Intervention and Treatment in pediatric and primary care practices, home visiting programs, youth diversion programs, schools, and hospital emergency rooms. She was on the team that developed the National Council’s implementation guide, Improving Adolescent Health: Facilitating Change for Excellence in SBIRT (2020). She is a nationally recognized SBIRT and YSBIRT trainer.
Amy has provided training and technical assistance in support of evidence-based implementation of Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment in pediatric practices, home visiting programs, youth diversion programs, schools, and hospital emergency rooms. She has training and TA experience from one hour overviews to series that has included guided participants through the SBIRT implementation process. This includes considerations in the choosing of screening tools, of brief intervention strategies including motivational interviewing techniques, and of strategies for referring for further evaluation and treatment. She was on the team that developed the National Council’s implementation guide, Improving Adolescent Health: Facilitating Change for Excellence in SBIRT (2020). She is a nationally recognized SBIRT and YSBIRT trainer.
