Lee Ellenberg, MSW, LICSW has been the Training Manager for MASBIRT Training and Technical Assistance, at Boston Medical Center, since 2012. There, he leads the training and implementation efforts of SBIRT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in a variety of health and human service settings throughout Massachusetts.
Lee has trained extensively within Massachusetts and nationally on SBIRT and Motivational Interviewing. He has also has been an SBIRT consultant trainer and coach for YouthBuild USA since 2014. He became a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in 2016.
Prior to becoming the Training Manager for MASBIRT TTA, Lee was the Clinical Program Supervisor for the MASBIRT program, a five year SAMHSA funded project awarded to Massachusetts, where he trained and supervised over 25 Health Promotion Advocates to conduct SBIRT in a variety of healthcare settings.
Lee has been a behavioral health clinician for more than 30 years and has provided behavioral health services to adults, families and adolescents in a variety of healthcare settings.
Lee Ellenberg has been working with MASBIRT since in 2007 which became MASBIRT Training and Technical Assistance in 2014. Since that time, he has provided hundreds of SBIRT and MI R trainings throughout MA in a wide variety of healthcare and human service settings.
