Dr. Ferssizidis has extensive experience providing training in SBIRT, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques for addressing mild to moderate substance use risk and co-occuring mental health problems both in Brief Intervention and in Brief Treatment models. As the Project Director for the Virginia SBIRT grant and previous Training Coordinator on a workforce development SBIRT grant, she has extensive experience in meeting the training and implementation needs of various settings integrating SBIRT. She provides training to medical and behavioral health students and providers in a variety of settings including primary care, emergency department, mental health clinics, and academic institutions.
Dr. Ferssizidis is available for consultation and technical assistance related to implementation and training of SBIRT and Brief Treatment models for substance use and co-occurring conditions.
