Phil Orrick has been in the professional fields of mental health, substance use/dependence, and health promotion for more than 30 years. He has been a counselor, educator, and trainer focusing on counselor training, client advocacy, and conference management. He is currently co-director and project manager at UT Austin for the South Southwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center. In that capacity, he designs, plans, and implements professional development curriculum and programs in three states: Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. The most recent product developed is the Brief Therapies and Brief Interventions Trainer Guide for the TIP 34.
