Collaborated with several organizations, recovery support centers and community based organizations to integrate the SBIRT model within existing service delivery programs. Activities included assisting in the development of tailored implementation plans and supports, have assisted in consulting through both manual and electronic integration of screening tools, utilized the team approach of facilitating the SBIRT components, provided resources for state billing and organizational requirements, and provided both training and coaching sessions to build provider capacity and efficacy in conducting SBIRT with client populations.
Diana Padilla is a Research Project Manager at NYSPI, Columbia University Medical Center, facilitates the SBIRT, (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) Intensive Technical Assistance and Implementation program, and is a Senior Trainer for the Northeast & Caribbean Addiction Transfer Technology Center Network (NeCATTC). With more than 22 years of public health service, she instructs behavioral health professionals, prevention specialists, and drug court practitioners on addiction and recovery support best practices.
