**Due to training capacity, this event is CLOSED to the public - registration will be by invitation only.   June 15, 16, 17, 2021 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Eastern  |  11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Central  |  10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Mountain  |  9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Pacific     DESCRIPTION The Great Lakes ATTC offers this event in partnership with the Northwest and South Southwest ATTCs.   A three-day interactive summit designed for behavioral health systems and stakeholders to address and navigate the complexities of addressing race equity and the intersection of recovery-oriented systems of care. Participants will leave with an increased understanding of equity and the root causes of behavioral health disparities. It will offer health administrators, organizational leaders and community stakeholders a clear, practical framework for addressing inequities at the individual, system, and community levels.     LEARNING OBJECTIVES Explore how systemic racism impacts all of us Understand key drivers that lead to racial inequities in health outcomes and the key ROSC solutions that can help to eliminate them Understand the nature of transformational change Learn how recovery-oriented approaches position systems to dismantle racism and promote equity Learn specific ways to listen, learn, lead, implement, and sustain transformative change     CERTIFICATES Certificates of attendance will be provided to participants who fully attend all three days of the summit. CEUs are not being offered for this event.      PRESENTERS Ijeoma Achara-Abrahams, PsyD, founded Achara Consulting Inc. in 2008. Since then, Dr. Achara and her team have helped state and local governments and provider organizations across the country to envision, plan, implement, and manage transformational change in behavioral health systems and services.   Dietra D. Hawkins, PsyD, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the owner of a consultation practice inspired by the concept of Equity by Design, Dr. Dietra Design Partners work with state and local governments and behavioral health agencies on Appreciative Inquiry approaches, recovery-oriented systems of care, asset-based community development and inclusion, and the healing of racism.     TARGET AUDIENCE The ROSC Equity Summit will be especially beneficial for:   - Behavioral healthcare directors and administrators working within state agencies;   - Behavioral healthcare providers working in mental health and substance use disorder services;   - Recovery Community leadership and stakeholders

This training is being provided in response to a need identified by Region 5 stakeholders.   DESCRIPTION: Each council will do a brief presentation of their successes during the Fiscal year.     LEARNING OBJECTIVES: How a ROSC differs from traditional approaches. How To create a ROSC Council. What is an RCO.     CERTIFICATES: Registrants who fully attend this event or training will receive a certificate of attendance. Certificates are disseminated via email to all qualifying individuals approximately two weeks after the conclusion of the event or training.
