The Great Lakes ATTC is providing this training series in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. This training series is a closed event. Registration is by invitation only.
DESCRIPTION
In this training series, emerging leaders from the Wisconsin Native American, African American, Latino/Hispanic and Asian American communities will receive training to become the next generation of Wisconsin behavioral health leaders. In addition to the immersion training series, each emerging leader will complete a leadership project with guidance from a mentor. Each emerging leader will present their project at the virtual graduation ceremony in September 2021.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Help develop the next generation of behavioral health leaders in Wisconsin
• Teach emerging leaders to balance work identity and cultural/family/,community identity
• Help emerging leaders recognize the impact of historical trauma on leadership potential and how to reach that potential
