Stimulants 101 Training Series (November 2021)

The Great Lakes A/MH/PTTC is offering this training for individuals working in HHS Region 5: IL, IN, MI, MN, OH, WI. This training is being provided in response to a need identified by Region 5 stakeholders.

 

 

This three-hour stimulant training developed by the ATTC Network stimulants workgroup provides an overview of the impact of stimulant drugs on the brain and body. The training includes current data on national and regional trends in stimulant use.

 

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Review national and regional trends in stimulant use
  • Learn about the impact of stimulants se on the brain and body
  • Understand current best practices in treatment for stimulant use disorders

 

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

  • Three NAADAC CE hours will be awarded to participants who attend all three sessions in full.
  • Certificates will be emailed shortly after the conclusion of the final session.

Partial credit will not be awarded.

Mat Roosa was a founding member of NIATx and has been a NIATx coach for a wide range of projects. He works as a consultant in the areas of quality improvement, organizational development, and planning, evidence-based practice implementation. His experience includes direct clinical practice in mental health and substance use services, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and human service agency administration.
