Course description: This course examines the incidence and etiology of chemical dependence and its impact on adolescents, families, and society. The course also addresses physiological, psychosocial, and cultural aspects of psychoactive substances in relation to adolescents, adolescent assessment techniques and classification of substance use disorders, and special characteristics of adolescents of diverse population groups, particularly those at high risk.
