Please join your health system colleagues as you learn how to implement Screening, Brief Intervention, and Refer to Treatment (SBIRT). As the demand for substance abuse, mental health, and behavioral health services increase, consider utilizing an evidence-based process to appropriately address that demand. Who Should Attend? All health, mental health, and social services professionals, paraprofessionals, students, trainees and administrators from Wisconsin and neighboring states are welcome. No prior training, experience, licensure, or certification is necessary. What will Trainees Achieve? Trainees will learn why and how to deliver SBIRT. The training will include an emphasis on Motivational Interviewing, which is effective in promoting a variety of healthier behaviors. Trainees will receive copies of training materials. Trainees will be taught via webinar, in-person, and through self-study. The total amount of hours dedicated to this training will be 60 hours.
