As overdose deaths continue to rise, patient access to medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and related services is key to reversing this trend. According to data from the California Department of Public Health, from Q1 2019 to Q4 2020 the rate of opioid overdose deaths has more than doubled. While many agencies have received grant funding to build MAT programs, there are concerns about sustainability when those funds are no longer available.
This fourth and final session in the Building Blocks for Sustainability training series will provide an overview of essential elements of managing Drug Medi-Cal financed outpatient treatment services.
