DESCRIPTION

The Great Lakes ATTC offers this training for Minnesota behavioral health professionals in partnership with ServeMinnesota.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, professionals providing supportive services or overseeing those providing direct service are on the front lines, assisting the most vulnerable populations in an ever-changing landscape. This two-part series will address factors that lead to compassion fatigue and how to overcome barriers to finding balance and creating wellness. Specifically, this series will address what compassion fatigue is, how it happens and how to recognize the symptoms and warning signs. Participants will also learn about compassion satisfaction, the building blocks of empathy, and navigating compassion fatigue through self-care.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Describe factors that lead to compassion fatigue
  • Demonstrate building blocks of empathy and navigating Compassion Fatigue
  • Develop a plan for self-care

 

CEUs will not be offered for this training, but Certificates of Attendance will be provide to participants who fully attend all sessions of this training series.
