The Great Lakes ATTC offers this training in partnership with Minnesota DHS for Minnesota 245G substance use disorder providers.
Behavioral health treatment providers and program evaluators use ASAM Criteria to ensure that clients receive the appropriate level of care based on person-centered needs. This presentation will provide an overview on the ASAM’s continuum of care and 6-Dimensional Assessment. In addition, participants will gain an understanding of Risk Ratings, how to utilize ASAM Criteria to make level of care recommendations, and applying ASAM for Continued Service, Transfer and Discharge decisions.

Mark Disselkoen
Mark Disselkoen is Senior Project Manager at the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT) at the University of Nevada, Reno, and lives in Pocatello, Idaho. He is an LCSW and LADC and has worked in the field of substance use and mental health treatment for over 25 years.
Michelle Padden
Michelle Padden has worked in the addiction and behavioral health fields for almost 20 years. Currently, Ms. Padden supervises the certification and technical assistance contract for CASAT. She provides quality assurance and management, technical assistance and training services for State certification contracts and conducts training for the Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC)
