Motivational Interviewing for FQHCs - Technical Skills (Level 2)

This 4-part workshop delivered via remote learning (3-hour sessions) will provide the attendees with the opportunity to practice skills and demonstrate MI style and skills.

 

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Be able to identify the key concepts of MI and how each relates to promoting positive behavior change.
  • Be able to describe each process of MI (Engaging, Focusing, Evoking, Planning) and how each contributes to promoting positive behavior change.
  • Apply MI skills for efficient and effective engagement and movement towards change (the Relational Foundation and the Technical skills).
  • Apply MI skills to cultivate client change talk (Technical Component).
  • Begin integrating MI into your everyday change conversations.
  • Engage an ongoing learning process and work to achieve fidelity

Attendee Requirements: Attendees must be associated M&S Services (Milwaukee, WI). Those interested in attending this training series need to have completed the Motivational Interviewing - Relational Skills Training (Level 1).
