Brief and flexible interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), have an important role in addressing substance use disorders (SUDs). In this three-hour workshop, we will review basic components of CBT and discuss implementation strategies, such as how and when to leverage CBT and how to incorporate it into other evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing (MI). In addition, we will discuss applications of CBT and MI in other disorders that are commonly comorbid with SUDs

She has dedicated her professional career to using psychological research to help people. She is a board-certified Clinical Psychologist and sees patients in her private practice, consults with healthcare tech startups, and delivers trainings and workshops on communication/motivation and health and wellbeing at work and in life.
